Tetra Tech HEI is posting the following job opportunities to be performed at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Piketon, Ohio. Each position is provided with minimum criteria that the applicant must meet in order to be considered.
- Process/Facility Engineer
- Engineering professional with knowledge and experience in the application of safe work practices and the ability to read and understand drawings
- DOE and nuclear facility experience desired
- Successful candidate will have experience with Gaseous Diffusion Plant facilities and processes; knowledge and application of safe work practices in nuclear facilities; and knowledge and application of DOE requirements and practices
- Must be capable of judging work status/progress in the field, communicating work status effectively, interacting positively and productively with peers and contractor employees, and working effectively in a team environment
- Minimum of a B.A./B.S. in science, engineering, or a related field from an accredited school
- Minimum of 6 years experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, project management, or facilities operations organizations
- Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
- Active government security clearance (Q) or ability to obtain a DOE Q security clearance
- Senior Quality Assurance QA)/Quality Control (QC) Specialist
- Engineering professional to provide support to DOE in administering audit and assessments programs including internal and external audits and assessments and development of the annual assessment schedule
- This position requires a candidate who can provide subject matter expertise, support, and coordination for internal and external DOE PPO audits, assessments, surveillances, and inquiries as well as administrative and coordination support for accident investigations, accident investigation boards, and root cause analyses
- Provide technical support for oversight program development including coordination of QA Program updates and modifications to address new/revised requirements within DOE and with each contractor
- Working knowledge of 10 CFR 830, Subpart A and NQA-1
- Experience in developing and conducting assessments, controls of S/CIs, and oversight of DOE contractor’s QA program
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or Science
- Minimum 15 years QA/QC experience on Department of Energy projects
- Active government security clearance (Q)
- Environmental Scientist/Engineer
- Successful candidate will have experience in an industrial and/or construction work environment as well as knowledge of and experience in evaluating and tracking compliance with environmental regulations/requirements in the field
- Knowledge of and experience with both water quality/effluent and air emissions issues is preferred
- Provide subject matter expertise and technical knowledge of environmental and regulatory issues to oversight of DOE contractors (D&D/Remediation, Infrastructure) at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant located near Piketon, Ohio
- Must be capable of interacting positively and productively with peers, contractor employees, and DOE staff as well as work effectively in a team environment
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or Engineering from an accredited school
- Minimum 5-10 years of environmental and regulatory experience in an industrial or construction work environment
- Active government security clearance (L or higher) or ability to obtain clearance
- Environmental Scientist/Engineer
- Successful candidate will have experience in an industrial and/or construction work environment as well as knowledge of and experience in evaluating and tracking compliance with environmental regulations/requirements in the field
- Successful candidate will also have knowledge of and experience with ensuring compliance with waste packaging and transportation issues requirements
- Provide subject matter expertise and technical knowledge of environmental and regulatory issues to oversight of DOE contractors (D&D/Remediation, Infrastructure) at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant located near Piketon, Ohio
- Must be capable of interacting positively and productively with peers, contractor employees, and DOE staff as well as work effectively in a team environment
